The first day of the Nordic World Cyber Games qualifier finals has ended with SK Gaming sweeping their way through the group stage with no losses.
Hartwall Arena in Helsinki is playing host for the Nordic WCG qualifier finals, which today saw the group stage. The group stage would decide which four teams would make it to the playoffs and determine who would face who in the playoffs.
The Swedes from SK Gaming had a really good day in Helsinki, winning four games out of four possible, which meant a first place finish in the group. Especially the SK stand-in Andreas "moddii" Fridh played really solid during the day, but all in all the entire squad played flawless.
In second place we see Lions, who went on to beat H2k and Playzone, as H2k stumbled against Lions in the last match, the Norwegians claimed second place of the group.
Third place goes to Power Gaming, while the loss to Lions put H2k in a tough position, as fourth place in the group meant they would have to play SK in the semi's. The semi-finals at the Nordic WCG qualifier finals will be played as follows:
10:00CET -
